CNN shows pro-Biden bias with White House reporter switch

CNN Chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta, who has spent most of his time openly criticizing President Donald Trump and his administration has been reassigned just before Joe Biden takes office next week. Acosta will be replaced by the less combative Kaitlan Collins while he moves to a weekend anchor role and the chief domestic correspondent for CNN.

Acosta was known for his very public battles with the president and his administration and was often called out by Trump for reporting “fake news.”

After one particularly testy exchange between Acosta and Trump in late 2018, the president called Acosta “a rude and terrible person.”  That led to the White House revoking his press credentials which were quickly restored after CNN threatened to sue.

Acosta parlayed his battles into a book in 2019 titled “The Enemy of the People,” in reference to what Trump repeatedly said about the liberal media in general, saying that the book details “the dangers he faces reporting on the current White House while fighting on the front lines in President Trump’s war on truth.”

CNN benefited greatly from its negative coverage of  Trump, and Acosta was one of the main reasons for that success.  Now that Trump is about to leave office CNN is now adjusting its White House coverage with an ostensibly gentler, kinder reporter, underscoring the bias prevalent at the network.
