Media doubts Trump’s April vaccine deadline, now giving Biden credit for it happening
April 6, 2021
The mainstream media was quick to “fact check” former President Trump when he claimed that “Hundreds of millions of doses will be available every month, and we expect to have enough vaccines for every American by April, and again I’ll say even at that later stage, the delivery will go as fast as it comes.”
Citing the CDC’s timeline for vaccine distribution, CNN published an article headlined, “Trump says every American can get a coronavirus vaccine by April, but health experts say that’s not likely.”
Other news networks pounced on the president, with CNBC claiming, “Trump’s comments are likely to add to concerns from infectious disease experts and scientists that the White House is pressuring U.S. regulators to approve a vaccine before it’s been adequately tested.”
USA Today commented, “As he faces reelection in November, Trump has often offered rosy – and incorrect – assessments about the speed for defeating the virus.”
Now, when President Joe Biden, who inherited Trump’s Operation Warp Speed vaccine plan, is likely to pull back the day when all Americans qualify for the vaccine to April 19, the media fails to mention the doubt they cast on Trump.
The deadline will now be April 19, making Trump’s prediction fully accurate.
