Cuomo lied, thousands died: Revoke his Emmy now

April 26, 2021

By Accuracy In Media

On Monday, April 19, Accuracy in Media unveiled a mobile billboard in front of headquarters at 25 W. 52nd Street in Manhattan with the words: Cuomo Lied, Thousands Died: Revoke his Emmy Now.

Why? That’s the address of the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences , the body that gave Andrew Cuomo an Emmy last year for the way he “led” New York through COVID-19. We now know that more than 15,000 people died from COVID in New York nursing homes – and Cuomo lied about it. He is now under federal investigation for those actions. And yet the Academy still hasn’t revoked the Emmy.

At a time when corporations are expected to make statements about social justice causes and move out of states that are deemed politically incorrect, the Academy has been silent about giving an award to a man whose policies were directly responsible for thousands of nursing home deaths, and who covered it up.

Let’s record an accurate record of the pandemic and demand the Academy revoke his Emmy now — the victims and their families deserve it!

Accuracy in Media activists have sent over 189,000 emails to the board of the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences but have yet to receive a response. As a result, they’ll also send the billboard to the Manhattan homes of two Academy board members with a modified message that might encourage their neighbors to ask these board members why they haven’t revoked the Emmy.

Former Biden staffer Tara Reade was right when she said the media has a “collective collusion” with the Democrats.  The media isn’t merely biased towards progressives and Democrats.  In 2021, the media is unquestionably a part of the progressive movement and actions like this prove it. But whereas previously media bias was simply frustrating, today it is outright dangerous.

By failing to hold a failing governor accountable, the media served as Cuomo’s enabler
