MSNBC’s Ruhle wonders where VP Harris is during border crisis, ‘she was supposed to be in charge’

As the Haitian immigration surge continued in Del Rio, Texas, MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle wanted to know where Vice President Kamala Harris was on Monday.
“How about the message from our Vice President?” Ruhle asked “Where is she? She was supposed to be in charge of all of these migration issues, going to those Northern Triangle countries that’s obviously not Haiti.”

Harris was placed in charge of issues on the Southern border in March but has rarely been seen or spoken on the issue which saw an immediate surge after Biden was elected president in November. She did tell migrants in Guatemala “do not come,” but has done little to stem illegal border crossings.
Now the Biden administration faces another surge, this time of Haitian immigrants whose numbers have swelled to over 15,000 with an estimated 20,000 more coming. The response from the White House is to deport them back to Haiti which has angered liberals, who accused Biden of continuing Trump-era policies which they find completely unsatisfactory.
Harris has been missing in action for months on this issue and has left the administration bereft of any clear policy when it comes to the border crisis, which they refuse to acknowledge.
