Leander ISD Teacher Explains ‘Gender Identity’ to Elementary Students
Another Texas public school teacher has been exposed pushing radical gender theory on elementary school students.
Accuracy in Media captured Leander Independent School District fourth-grade teacher Deanna Perkins on video explaining how she infuses LGBT ideologies into her classroom.
Perkins—who teaches at Leander ISD’s Reagan Elementary School—said she pins up LGBT pride flags in her classroom and stocks her bookshelves with radical gender theory content.
The fourth-grade teacher also claimed to tell her elementary school students they can identify as something other than their biological gender.
“I have my lanyard that has my pronouns on it, because even though you think ‘elementary school’ … there are some kids that just, obviously, know that they’re … ‘not like everyone else,’ right? Something is different. ‘I don’t feel like I’m a girl, I don’t identify as a girl.’”
“And so, I want to be that safe space.”
Perkins said that when students ask about her pronoun lanyard, she tells them that people can choose their gender and “identify” as anything they like.
Because they were like, “Why do you have that?” I said, “Well, because that’s what I identify as. I’m a she/her.” And they’re like, “Oh, okay.” And so, I said, “Because some people identify as they/them and some identify as he/him.” And so, when I said, “I identify as she/her,” then they’re like, “Oh, I’m a she/her.”
