Accuracy in Media exposes rising antisemitism at USC

Accuracy in Media President Adam Guilette once again takes to the streets of universities like the University of Southern California to show firsthand the antisemitic sentiments that have pervaded campuses across the United States.

USC, home of the Trojans, is located in Los Angeles, and most recently hit the news for the chaos surrounding its 2024 commencement ceremony due to their choice for valedictorian.

Asna Tasbassum, a biomedical engineering student who “minored in Resistance to Genocide”, was called out by Jewish groups due to past antisemitic posts on social media. Her Instagram linked to a website calling for “the complete abolishment of the state of Israel.”

Later on CNN, Tasbassum refused to answer the anchor when she asked Tasbassum whether she truly wanted a complete “abolishment.”

Due to “safety concerns” USC then rescinded the offer to have her as a commencement speaker.

One frustrated parent came up to Guillette after the ceremony, stating that the speakers were only “talking about themselves and Palestine, and all that other s***.” He continued lamenting that he was only “here because [his] daughter worked her a** off to graduate from this college.”

USC President Carol Folt has done nothing to help Jewish students at USC and has allowed pro-Hamas crowds to run amok on her university’s campus. It’s time for a change in leadership, visit this link to send a message to USC’s trustees.
