AIM mobile billboard sparks debate in Manhattan: Controversial Columbia student leader faces backlash from neighbors
August 7, 2024
New Yorker, hipster, and longtime Jew hater Elliot Mur got a visit from Accuracy in Media’s mobile billboard at his home in Manhattan. Because since Columbia won’t hold their students accountable, AIM will.
Along with being a co-president of the Columbia University student organizations that signed a proclamation blaming Israel for the terrorist attack that killed 1,400 Jews on October 7. AIM President Adam Guillette asked Mur’s neighbors and members of the community what they thought of having a raging antisemite in their neighborhood.
One neighbor stated that she “loved” our billboard and that she “appreciate[s] it.” She was shocked to find out that Mur lived in her building.
Two others walking by asked Guilette if he was a Zionist, to which he replied, “I think Israel has the right to exist.”
The passersby continued shouting “Free Palestine!” and “F**k off!.”
A Jewish woman then stopped by our truck, saying that “This is the first day I didn’t wear my Jewish star…because Netanyahu was speaking today and I was afraid that if I wore my star, somebody would attack me.”
In a predominantly Jewish community, we are left wondering how Mur can hate Jews so much when he lives amongst them every day.
