A Columbia University pro-Palestinian group declared Thursday the leader of the terrorist group Hezbollah has become a martyr after he was killed by Israeli forces.
Hassan Nasrallah was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Lebanon last week. His death sparked mourning from anti-Israel Americans, even spurring a candlelight vigil in Dearborn, Michigan.
Columbia University Apartheid Divest, or CUAD, describes itself as “a coalition of organizations for a free Palestine.” The group took to Substack Thursday to lament Nasrallah’s death in a post that quoted Communist leaders Mao Zedong and Vladimir Lenin.

Columbia University continues to be the frontline of the U.S. pro-Palestinian movement as the war in Gaza nears its one-year mark. Adam Guillette, president of Accuracy in Media, told The National News Desk (TNND) last month he used LED trucks to call out two residency students at the school’s Columbia-Bassett medical program for their leadership roles within CUAD.
