Abbott Demands Firing Of Irving ISD Official For Pushing Cheat Code For Boys To Play Girls’ Sports

Gov. Greg Abbott has called for the immediate termination of an Irving ISD administrator following an undercover investigation that revealed he allegedly coached parents on circumventing the Save Women’s Sports Act.

“This Irving ISD Administrator should be fired on the spot. Both criminal & civil investigations must be taken against both the Administrator & Irving ISD. Has Irving ISD and its employees been involved in a fraudulent breach of state laws & a cover-up? We must get the facts,” Abbott stated on X.

The investigation, conducted by Accuracy in Media (AIM), uncovered footage of Reny Lizardo, Irving ISD’s Executive Director of Campus Operations, advising an undercover journalist on how families could exploit a legal loophole to allow transgender athletes to compete in girls’ sports. According to AIM, Lizardo explained that altering a child’s gender on their birth certificate in another state before relocating to Texas could enable them to participate on the team of their choice—despite Texas law prohibiting such changes within the state. “It’s not illegal if you don’t get caught,” Lizardo was recorded saying.

When confronted by AIM President Adam Guillette, Lizardo denied ever having provided such advice, despite the existence of video evidence contradicting his claims.

Lizardo, who has served in his current role at Irving ISD since 2022, has not publicly responded to the allegations.
