San Antonio school official caught advising parent on evading transgender sports law, shoves AIM president
February 19, 2025
An undercover investigation by Accuracy in Media has revealed a San Antonio Independent School District official advising a prospective parent on how to bypass the “Save Women’s Sports Act,” a Texas law requiring student-athletes to compete on teams that match the gender listed on their birth certificate.
In a new video, San Antonio ISD constituent specialist Arthur Elizondo is seen discussing strategies to work around the law. During the conversation, Elizondo criticized parents, stating, “Parents create all the problems.”
When Accuracy in Media President Adam Guillette later confronted Elizondo about his remarks, the administrator became visibly agitated and shoved Guillette.
The video is part of Accuracy in Media’s ongoing investigation into Texas school administrators who flout state laws regarding gender and sports participation. In January, the organization released undercover footage from Irving ISD, Dallas ISD, and Hutto ISD, where officials similarly advised undercover journalists on ways to sidestep the “Save Women’s Sports Act.”
Accuracy in Media’s investigations have already prompted Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton to launch a probe into multiple school districts. The organization has also launched a website allowing citizens to email their elected officials and demand accountability for school administrators who openly defy state law.
Following the release of the investigations, at least two administrators exposed in the videos have resigned.
Accuracy in Media continues to advocate for universal school choice in Texas, arguing that empowering parents with education options is the best way to hold school officials accountable.
