WATCH: Accuracy in Media returns again to law firm employing Columbia antisemites

Accuracy in Media’s quest to confront antisemitism has once again landed President Adam Guillette at Debevoise & Plimpton’s office in New York City. The law firm hired two known antisemites, Avery Bashe and Tess Kim, who were leaders of Columbia University student organizations that signed an inflammatory statement condemning Israel after the October 7 terrorist attack.

“We’re like the post office,” Guillette said. “Whether rain, or snow, or crazy wind, we’re going to deliver accountability to crazy antisemites.”

One bystander commented on the hiring decision, saying he felt “disgusted” and it was “abhorrent.” Others avoided eye contact and any comments on Bashe and Kim’s presence at the firm. This lack of acknowledgment is why AIM will keep coming back.

AIM is willing to stop confronting Debevoise & Plimpton as soon as the two Columbia alumni take accountability for their antisemitic statements. Until then, take action and call the Debevoise & Plimpton Presiding Partner Peter Furci and ask him why he hired pro-Hamas students after pledging his firm would have “zero tolerance” for antisemitism.
