The University of North Carolina Wilmington is the latest university Accuracy in Media has exposed. AIM captured rogue administrators at UNCW bragging about being “sneaky” to evade the Board of Governors’ ban on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).

The school is now “aware” of the video and is promising a “response.”

“They’re trying to be a little sneaky, I feel like, with certain things in the plan,” Asher Pershin, the Center Coordinator for the Mohin-Scholz LGBTQIA Resource Center at UNC Wilmington, said in the video released by AIM.

In addition, Ashlee Fleming, the Upperman African American Cultural Center Coordinator, said in terms of DEI-related jobs on campus, “It says ‘eliminated’ in a lot of the reports, but if you look at the other pages, it shows that they kind of just like created new-ish position.”

UNCW claims it is “aware” of the “regulatory noncompliance” unveiled in AIM’s release and it is taking “such matters seriously,” according to a statement provided to local ABC, CBS, and CW affiliate WWAY News.

The statement also said, “the employees’ actions are under review, and the leadership team is taking swift action to look into these matters further.”

UNCW promised it will “provide an appropriate and timely response once we have more information.”

But a promise of a response is just a promise of an update. It’s time to keep the pressure up. AIM has helped remove radical administrators at UNC Charlotte, UNC Asheville, and Western Carolina University, but that’s not enough. Go to SaveNCSchools.com to let the Board of Governors know that the DEI ban is being ignored.
