Accuracy in Media brings mobile billboard to UW commencement
June 24, 2025
Several pro-Hamas individuals affiliated with the Super UW student group, which caused more than $1 million worth of damage to the engineering building, were set to graduate from the University of Washington. Accuracy in Media visited the school’s commencement to hold them accountable.
AIM President Adam Guillette addressed the students as they walked to their graduation ceremony. When asked their thoughts, a group of graduates read the billboard before encouraging each other not to engage with Guillette. Once reminded of the sheer amount of damage caused by the Super UW occupiers, one student commented, “Yeah, that sucks.”
Others also showed a relative indifference to the actions of their classmates, and rather seemed intent on getting attention from the camera.
One student wearing a keffiyeh around his neck called the students who were arrested for the vandalism “political prisoners” and claimed the engineering department was “funding genocide in Gaza, man.”
This atmosphere of indifference was in stark contrast to the response to AIM’s billboards on the East Coast, where crowds of people often tried to block the visuals and verbally attacked AIM crew members. Despite this change in demeanor, the mission of AIM to hold antisemites accountable remains the same, and AIM will continue to expose and demand apologies from those who publicly call for the destruction of Israel and espouse hatred of Jews.
To take action, visit UWHatesJews.com, where you can send a message to university trustees and local law enforcement agencies to let them know Super UW members should be held accountable for their destructive behavior.
