Accuracy in Media brings mobile billboard to Highland Hospital over Gabrielle Wimer’s residency
July 2, 2025
Gabrielle Wimer was one of the Barnard College students arrested for storming Columbia’s Millstein Library as part of a pro-Hamas mob. Now, she is a part of the Highland Emergency Medicine Residency Program at Highland Hospital in Oakland, California. Accuracy in Media brought a mobile billboard to the hospital to expose Wimer’s history and ask locals how they felt about potentially being treated by an antisemitic medical provider.
AIM was met with people using white sheets and crutches, presumably from the hospital where the items were supposed to be used to treat sick people, to block the mobile billboard and AIM’s cameras.
The confrontations escalated to the point where law enforcement was called after a woman spit on AIM President Adam Guillette.
One woman attempted to defend Wimer, claiming that “Just because somebody gets arrested, doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re not a wonderful and capable doctor to treat people.”
When confronted with the fact that the students violently took over the library, she continued defending Wimer by asking, “Was somebody killed?” After being informed that just because something is violent, doesn’t mean someone is killed, the woman admitted Guillette was right.
Wimer has a history of being arrested for participating in a violent, pro-Hamas demonstration. She cannot be trusted treating patients, especially Jewish patients. Go to GabrielleWimer.com to tell hospital executives that someone who was arrested for participating in an antisemitic mob should not be in residency at the hospital.
