The Lion amplifies AIM’s critical investigations in Florida, Texas, and North Carolina

Governments and taxpayer-funded institutions are continuing to flout bans on diversity, equity and inclusion, watchdog group Accuracy in Media reports.
AIM posted three undercover videos this month showing officials in Austin, Texas, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and at Florida A&M University explaining how they continue DEI practices by renaming offices or using alternative terms.
“We have renamed it to the Office of Equity and Inclusion, so it still has equity there,” an Austin employee says in the video. “Hopefully we will continue our work. Have you gone to our Undoing Racism trainings?”
Titles on the office’s bookshelf, visible in the video, include The White Allies Handbook and Tactics for Racial Justice, as well as various books in a section labeled LGBTQIA+.
More than a dozen states have banned DEI, including Florida, North Carolina and Texas. President Donald Trump has signed executive orders aimed at dismantling it in the federal government due to its discriminatory effects.
