“Totally Committed” to DEI: University of Kentucky Faculty Caught Breaking State Law
February 17, 2026
Accuracy in Media continues to carry out undercover investigations to find out whether universities are complying with DEI bans across the country. We have found that even in red majority states, rogue university officials continue to carry out DEI programming covertly. AIM investigations have exposed DEI continuing in North Carolina, Florida, and Iowa.
Our latest investigation focuses on the state of Kentucky. In addition to being bound by federal Executive Orders, Kentucky has implemented a state law to curb DEI initiatives at public universities. To find out if the state’s public universities are complying with this law, AIM sent an undercover journalist to the University of Kentucky to inquire about teaching practices. She sat down with Jason Horger, an Academic Advisor for the institution, who unwittingly exposed the university’s failure to comply.
When our journalist raised concerns over the university’s inability to incorporate “revisionist history” and “antiracism” into the curriculum, Horger assured her that the “faculty is totally committed” to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
Our hidden-camera investigations serve a vital purpose because these universities often attempt to conceal their non-compliance from public scrutiny. Academic departments typically send over syllabi that appear to remove all references to DEI topics from coursework, claiming that they demonstrate cooperation with the law. But what goes on inside these institutions is very different. AIM has uncovered a pervasive “nudge, nudge, wink, wink” approach to feigning compliance, all while radicals continue to pursue their ideological agenda unchecked. And when we confront them with the truth, officials seem to conveniently forget their own words and call us “jerks” for exposing their blatant lies!
To take action, visit DEIinKentucky.com and send a message to relevant elected officials to show that no taxpayer should be funding a DEI agenda in public institutions.
