Ohio News Reports on AIM’s DEI Investigation

Kent State University is among the Ohio colleges and universities that are still pushing the diversity, equity, and inclusion ideology, according to a new undercover video released by a media watchdog.

Accuracy in Media said the undercover video shows Jennifer Walton-Fisette, a professor and director of educator preparation at Kent State, saying she and other faculty members are still promoting DEI and pushing the racist and misandrist ideas.

“Kent State University is yet another university where we have found out that the lunatics are in charge of the asylum,” President of Accuracy in Media Adam Guillette said. “And in this department, we had an individual who not only bragged about continuing DEI practices, but who had some very strong opinions about white men.”

President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Jan. 20, 2025, titled “Ending Radical and Wasteful Government DEI Programs and Preferencing,” prohibiting colleges and universities all around the country from having these programs.

However, Walton-Fisette recently admitted on the video that the university ignores the order by continuing to push the ideology in its classrooms.

“One thing I could say about Kent State University and our teacher programs is that we’re very connected at the state level, so I know all the stuff that’s going on at the state level. They’re all about diversity, equity, and inclusion,” she said on the video. “It’s not being forced through a Trumpian lens. It’s taking away the buzzwords and having to be more careful about how you’re talking about equity and inclusion.”

According to Walton-Fisette, getting rid of DEI is an attempt to “keep white men in power.”

“I mean, this is what it’s all about, right? And if we dumb down education, then we can continue to do that,” she said. “That’s what the ultimate goal is.”

Walton-Fisette also admitted the university has an entire class dedicated to DEI.

Kent State removed Walton-Fisette’s page from its website. However, it is still available via the Wayback Machine.

Walton-Fisette’s LinkedIn profile is still available to see online.

“Imagine being a taxpayer in this university, knowing that you’re paying your taxes not for a better education for the students across this state, but for a radical who says that the only goals essentially are for the white man to take over things,” Guillette said. “That is the problem with DEI. It causes people to see racism where it doesn’t exist. It divides us rather than bringing us together. And that’s why radicals like this woman have no business being at a public university.”

He then pointed out that other colleges and universities across the country, including in Ohio, have been doing the same thing, which means the higher education system is “absolutely broken” in this country and requires a “major reform.”
