Federal investigations into diversity, equity, and inclusion programs at several universities are drawing renewed attention after undercover videos appeared to show school employees discussing how DEI-related initiatives have continued despite new state laws and federal directives.
Speaking with The National News Desk, Accuracy in Media President Adam Guillette discussed undercover recordings made by his organization at Arizona State University and Ohio State University, both of which are now facing federal scrutiny over alleged civil rights concerns.
The investigations come as colleges and universities across the country have announced changes to DEI programs following new state laws and executive actions aimed at limiting or eliminating certain diversity initiatives at public institutions.
According to Guillette, the recordings suggest that, in some cases, universities may have changed program names or organizational structures while continuing similar activities.
